The History
T and T Traffic Management stands for Taylor and Tillick Traffic Management, a company built on family, legacy, and a lifelong connection to the traffic management industry.
Taylor Retter (owner) is the granddaughter of James and Kathy Retter, the former owners of Horizons Signs in Palmerston North. Following the unfortunate passing of James in 2014 and Kathy’s later retirement, there was a pause in the family’s involvement in the industry.
T and T represents the return — bringing the legacy back.
Traffic management has been part of Taylor’s life since day one, growing up around the company and the people who keep roads safe. Bill Tillick (owner) is married to Kelly Retter, the daughter of James and Kathy, further strengthening the family foundation behind T and T.
T and T Traffic Management is more than a business — it is the revival of a family legacy, built with respect, purpose, and heart. This company exists to bring traffic management back to what it should be: professional, safety-focused, people-driven, and done properly, the way it was always meant to be.
Our Focus
It all began with a clear goal — to bring back the fundamentals of what a good traffic management company should be. A company that looks after its people, stands behind its work, and delivers real value to its clients.
At T and T Traffic Management, we focus on doing things properly. We take a hands-on approach, pay attention to the details that matter on site, and work closely with our clients to deliver traffic management that actually supports the job. No shortcuts, no complacency — just professional service backed by experience and accountability.
Our work is built on quality, integrity, and practical outcomes. Every decision we make is guided by what delivers the best result for the project, ensuring our clients receive traffic management that is effective, compliant, and genuinely worth their investment.
T and T Traffic Management officially opened on 1 July 2025, and from day one we have hit the ground running. Since launching, we’ve experienced strong demand and steady growth, reflecting the need for traffic management that is practical, reliable, and done properly.
While the business continues to grow, our focus remains the same as it was on day one — delivering quality traffic management, looking after our people, and providing a professional, client-focused service that adds real value on site.
Growth hasn’t changed our approach. We continue to work closely with our clients, stay hands-on in how we operate, and ensure every job is delivered with the same level of care, accountability, and attention to detail that built our reputation from the start.
